Gone Fishing

Ah, what a lovely day. Woke up at 6:30 because early bird catches the worm. (Or in this case, the fish.) Though I didn't actually fish (I hate watching the poor things wriggle on the end of the line), the barbecuing and the silliness made for a great (early) morning. Then it was ruined by my eight hour shift. You can't have everything.

But wait...then why is there a slide?

New Beginnings

Dress, Urban Outfitters; Sunglasses, Betsey Johnson; Shoes, vintage; Belt, vintage; Bag, vintage' Bracelet, fake Cartier Chinatown goodness; Nail polish, Steel Grey by Rimmel London.

It was hot today. Extremely hot. And I picked possibly the worst spot to take pictures as the sun was making its way into my highly sensitive pupils. Regardless, I did five loads of laundry, went out on the town for a while, and headed off to work. I'm going to a picnic tomorrow. Anyone else think this dress is totally appropriate? I hope so. Though I might get severely mocked for being overdressed. Again.

IT'S THE SIMPLE THINGS

I was basically full at this point.

Making pancakes today was a much-needed distraction from "cleaning" the house. Though not fashion-related, I am so unbelievably and pathetically proud of myself. Usually I'm never able to flip pancakes without breaking them at least a little bit. But these came out perfect. Ah. Oh, and if at any time you think your blueberries are losing their sweetness or that your bananas are getting too soft, putting them in pancakes is the perfect way for them to not go to waste.
